I really enjoy the experience of photography when I hold a Fuji X camera. My first one was the X20. I just wish it had larger sensor. But, I find the design very clever and thought out. A few month later, I acquired the XM-1. I found the flip screen to be a useful feature for me to get to angles that could have otherwise thrown my back out. It has same sensor as the XPro-1 but with EXR II processing. Instead of opting for the 16-50mm kit I spent a few hundred more for the 18-55mm f2.8-f4. No regrets. Then, last week, I acquired the 12mm Carl Zeiss which amazed me in its performance in IQ. After researching on the Internet about the Xpro-1, it was my good luck that Precision-Camera got a used one in and today I bought it for $800. It already had the latest firmware installed and it tested satisfactorily.
I had a photo assignment for Georgetown View Magazine. I couldn't wait to take the XPRO-1 for its maiden voyage. I have to shoot manual, so the aperture needed to be adjusted at the lens which I wasn't quite used to at first. I use a radio trigger for my flash and that worked nicely. Once I got to my computer to import into Lightroom, I could tell how nice the images were and final adjustments were minimal.
